Life-limited parts (LLPs) play a critical role in engine maintenance, but their impact goes far beyond simply scheduling shop visits. As highlighted in AviTrader's MRO 360 feature, effective LLP management is increasingly a strategic function that influences cost control, asset value, and operational stability.
A key insight from Pem-Air CEO Virgil D. Pizer is that LLP planning directly affects financial exposure, particularly for aging engines, where margins for error are smaller, and the cost of a misstep can be high.
