The CF6-50 series engines with 51,000 and 54,000 lb (227.41 to 240.79 kN') of thrust and, known for their durability and efficiency, are utilized by a variety of aircraft including the earlier Boeing 747 nodels and McDonnell Douglas DC-10. The CF6-80 series, encompassing the CF6-80A, CF6-80C2, and CF6-80E1, offers advanced technology and higher thrust range of 48,000 to 75,000 lb (214 to 334 kN), powering aircraft such as the Airbus A300, A310, A330, Boeing 767, the later 747 (especially the 747-400 series), and the McDonnell Douglas MD-11.
